I had the opportunity to meet with Aletha, of Pearls Events, last week to discuss our business' and for a little chit-chat. She is such a great person and I can see why she does so well! Pearls Events is an event planning boutique, specializing in Michigan weddings. With offices in Grand Rapids and Holland, Pearls Events plans, designs & coordinates social events throughout the entire state of Michigan. Aletha VanderMaas is the principal event planner at Pearls Events with her event career beginning over 10 years ago with a part time catering job. After earning her B.A. in fashion marketing in 2003, she accepted a marketing position with the largest Christian communications company in the world.

In 2007 she set up shop and infused her love for service, marketing & weddings by creating Pearls Events. Besides planning events, Aletha enjoys spending time with her husband while they work in their yard, travel the country and entertain friends on their patio. They live in Grand Rapids with their cute Yorkie, Olive.

Aletha explained that she offers a number of different packages that each offer a variety of different services. Everything from doing the set-up for your wedding and reception, management for the day of, and of course an event planning package which has no limits to what it includes.
